Happy Friday! How crazy it is to think that summer is already here. I kept schooling through the summer as a child and interned or worked every summer in college, so it’s weird to think I’m going on vacation next week…but I’ll take it! Apopka Historical Fact: Site of Fountain (Intersection of Central Ave. and Fourth St.)

“In the 1920s, there was a fountain topped with electric lights in the middle of this intersection. In 1936, Apopka’s first traffic light was installed for the cost of $87.50. Speed was limited to 10 mph through the business district.”
